The Left’s efforts to intimidate Supreme Court Justices in the wake of the improper leak of a draft majority opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health should be universally condemned. Should the Supreme Court ultimately overrule Roe and Casey, the issue of how and when abortion is regulated will return to the state legislatures. Nine Justices in Washington DC will no longer dictate policy on this historically contentious issue. Rather, the people – through their democratically elected state legislative officials – will decide the matter and the genius of the federalist system will be on full display.
Protesting outside the homes of the Justices and engaging activities designed to intimidate churchgoers serves no purpose other than to inflame the mob. Intimidating those who seek to practice their faith violates federal law and should be immediately investigated by law-enforcement authorities.
Landmark Legal Foundation calls on all right-minded individuals, especially those in elective office, to immediately denounce these actions in the strongest possible terms.
